Terms of service
These terms govern your use of Loreling, a service provided by David 'sirrio' Martin.

Service and beta status
Loreling provides tools for organizing fictional worlds, relationships, maps, media, and related notes. The service is currently in beta. Features may change, and temporary interruptions may occur while the service is developed.
Account and access
You are responsible for access to your Discord account and registered passkeys. Do not share access credentials or use Loreling to interfere with the service or other accounts. Contact home@sirrio.de if you believe your account has been compromised.
Your content
You retain your rights in text, images, maps, and other content you add to Loreling. You grant the operator the limited rights necessary to store, process, display, back up, and transmit that content solely to provide the features you use, including sharing and Discord publication when you enable them.
Permitted content and conduct
Only upload or publish content you are entitled to use. Do not use Loreling for unlawful content, targeted harassment, malware, unauthorized access, or material that infringes the rights of others. Public and shared content remains your responsibility.
Availability and changes
The operator may maintain, change, limit, or discontinue beta functionality where reasonably necessary for security, reliability, legal compliance, or continued development. Material changes to these terms require renewed acceptance.
Plans, payment, and taxes
Loreling Adventurer is free and currently includes two owned worlds and 100 MB of media storage. Loreling Cartographer is a recurring subscription for €3.99 per month and currently includes ten owned worlds and 2 GB of media storage. Checkout and payment processing are provided by Stripe. Applicable taxes are calculated automatically and shown before purchase. The subscription renews each month until cancelled.
Cancellation and plan limits
You can manage or cancel a paid subscription through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid billing period unless Stripe states otherwise. Cancellation, failed payment, or downgrade never deletes existing worlds or media. If the account exceeds the free plan limits, existing content remains readable and editable, but additional worlds and media uploads are blocked until the account is within those limits or the paid plan becomes active again.
Termination and deletion
You may delete your account through the application. The operator may restrict or terminate access where these terms are materially breached or the service is endangered. Applicable retention periods and backup expiry are described in the privacy notice.
Liability and applicable law
Statutory liability rules apply. Nothing in these terms excludes liability where exclusion is prohibited by law, including liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body, or health. The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany apply to the extent permitted by mandatory consumer law.
